National Geographic Traveler features Milwaukee
National Geographic Traveler, with an adult readership of 6.8 million, has a terrific three-page feature about Milwaukee’s “full-blown renaissance” in its September 2006 issue. The article starts off by saying that lately the “buzz from Brewtown has been more hip than hokey” and proceeds to give an overview of Milwaukee’s culture and history as well as where to shop, eat and stay.
The story is not available online but if you click here you can get to the National Geographic Traveler website which provides advice on Milwaukee area restaurants, art and entertainment. The opening paragraph on the website states that the author of the print story, Margaret Loftus “reveals the city of Milwaukee, where 600,000 residents enjoy vast parkland, expansive museums, and funky boutiques. But shh, they don't want you to tell.”
