New York Times: Milwaukee's Rock 'n' Roll Hotel
Milwaukee’s Comfort Inn and Suites Downtown Lakeshore was one of five hotels from across the United States that was listed in a July 9, 2006 New York Times story about Rock ‘n’ Roll Hotels, a loose network of hotels that are frequented by musicians.
According to the Times’ story for a rock hotel to attract the “up-all- night, sleep-all-day crowd” it is “usually located near a music site or in a cool part of town.” Additionally, “because musicians keep late hours, 24-hour room service or a hotel bar and restaurant are major draws.”
